A starter jumping saddle built to the same pattern as our full-size English saddles, scaled down for young riders on ponies. Made in our own workshop in genuine leather, not synthetic — it breaks in with use and lasts through more than one child.

Which seat size

• 10" — suits most riders around 3 to 6 years old, on a small or lead-rein pony
• 12" — suits most riders around 6 to 9 years old
• Seat size is measured from the stirrup bar to the centre of the cantle. If you are between sizes, message us with your child's height and the pony's breed and we will tell you which to take.

• Fibre flex tree — light but sturdy, spreads the rider's weight evenly across the pony's back
• Wool flocked panels for cushioning, and they can be reflocked as the pony changes shape
• Soft leather seat and knee pads for grip and comfort in the jumping position
• Close contact / jumping cut

Pony club, first jumping lessons, and children moving up from a synthetic saddle to their first proper leather one. Matching stirrup leathers and girths are available — message us and we will put a set together.
